I made a status update about how I used to listen to Sonic the Hedgehog soundtracks when I was little and now I still do. And it reminded me of how all that got started, a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away.
My brother and I used to play Sonic games since, gosh, the very first one. He had a Sega Genesis and we played hard – I say we. Actually, he did the playing and I did the watching. I think that’s the role little sisters play but I’m not sure.
But we bonded over Sonic games. He identified with Sonic and I in turn, identified with Tails. He was the leader, I was the sidekick. He was the mascot, I trailed along behin
